#ifc2gis - Convert & Simplify IFC files for GIS environments
ifc2gis is a browser-based tool for converting and simplifying
IFC models into GIS-ready formats such as
GeoJSON, GeoPackage, and Shapefile.
It is built on top of several open-source libraries
(see
acknowledgements).
How it works
Just drop your IFC file, choose your export format, set the EPSG (optional), and download the converted
file.
ifc2gis has evolved: the new app is now live
We've moved ifc2gis to a faster, browser-based platform with
stronger GeoPackage exports, a live 3D viewer, better ArcGIS support with
Shapefile export and automated workflows for larger IFC models.
The original manual pipeline is still there, improved and
free to use for lightweight workflows.
